So... you've heard about my monthly mixes? If you haven't, I feel sorry for you. They're pretty much the best mixes that ever were. My list of monthly subscribers is growing exponentially.
People often wonder where the inspiration comes from for said mix CDs. Well, it's a pretty laid back process. I keep a pen and paper with me in the car, and whenever I hear a song that I would like to hear over and over and over again, I write it down. Pretty simple. When I feel like I have a handful of quality songs, I download and create a playlist. The real creativity comes in when I have to then look through songs I already have to compliment and complete the play list.
Order is also important. You want your CD to start out with a bang. Equally important is a strong finish. Things to consider are seasons, holidays, current events and state of mind. A good mix CD not only is a pleasure to listen to; it tells the story of your life for a brief period of time. In my case, generally about a month.

Hit by a cab...
I was on my way to grab breakfast this morning when I saw a biker get hit by a cab. No major damage done... or this story would be a lot more interesting. Just a bent wheel and some angry words exchanged.
My initial reaction was "stupid cab driver!" but after thinking about it a little longer, I think I've changed my mind. I must say, as a pedestrian, more of my close calls walking around this city have been with bikers rather than cars. If you drive in the road, follow the rules of the road: stop at stop signs, red lights, etc.
I was too far away to hear how the conversation ended, but from where I was, it looked like the biker just walked away with a busted ass bike!

I always admire people that have funny things to say
Sometimes I poke around blogs... and often find myself wondering what I would write about if I had one. I'm still not sure... but I thought there would be no better way to find out than starting one.
My friends are kind enough to laugh at the things I say, and for that reason, I feel like I have the bestest best friends a girl could ask for.
Right now I'm passing time at work until it's time to go FONDUE with the girls...
Sorry, I guess this post wasn't funny at all. Damn it, not even a little bit...
